BERESHIT – House of Hebrew: Mastery Rooted in Experience.

BERESHIT – House of Hebrew was founded by Mor, a passionate educator whose teaching philosophy was forged in the most demanding environments. Our story is rooted in a belief that true fluency is achieved through structural mastery and intensive, results-oriented instruction.

The foundation of our unique methodology was laid during Mor's service in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). Following years of working with immigrant children, Mor served as an intensive Hebrew instructor for new immigrants (Olim Hadashim) at the renowned Machve Alon base, before being promoted to Hebrew Coordinator for the Israeli Navy. During this time, she worked with soldiers from every background—from combat forces to technical support—all united by the need for rapid, high-level language acquisition. Mor initiated the Navy's first-ever Ulpanim (Hebrew language schools), developing a specialized, high-intensity curriculum that proved its effectiveness under pressure.

 

Our Methodology: From Root to Fluency

At BERESHIT, we don't just teach conversation; we teach the system of the language. Our programs, available for all levels, utilize an original, proven curriculum that dives deep into the Binyanim (verb roots) and the foundational Hebrew grammar that dictates accuracy and precision. We offer structured learning, specialized courses, and intensive tracks designed to transition students from basic conversation to advanced Hebrew reading and professional competence.

Our dedicated team consists of experienced Hebrew as a Second Language (H.S.L.) experts, many of whom share a background in results-oriented instruction, including service in the IDF.
